EL PASO, Tx., October 20, 2025: El Paso photojournalist, Michael Jasso covered the El Paso No Kings protests for the El Paso Herald Post. There were hundreds of El Pasoans at the protests, according to several participants. El Paso’s event was one of around 2,500 events across the country.
Saturday’s protest follows the first No Kings protests held on June 14. The protestors are protesting the use of the National Guard across the country and the heightened immigration crackdowns.
El Paso law enforcement reported that no arrests were made related to the El Paso protests.
After initially labeling the protests as a “hate America rally,” the Republicans have remained mostly silent about them. The local Republican Party has not publicly commented on the protests.
Donald Trump reacted to the protests on Sunday telling Fox New that “I’m not a king, I work my ass off.” Trump added that the protestors were “not representative of this country,” blaming George Soros for supporting “other radical left lunatics.” On Thursday, Ted Cruz told Fox News that “there is considerable evidence that George Soros” is behind what he characterized as the “riots across the country.”
