Judge won’t shorten prison term for Freedom mother convicted in daughter’s fatal overdose

APPLETON (WLUK) — A judge rejected Brooke Seal’s request to reduce her nine-year prison term, which was issued in connection with the drug overdose death of Seal’s 2-year-old daughter.

Rosalie Garcia died at a Freedom apartment in January 2024 after being exposed to fentanyl. Seal, 30, was convicted of child neglect-consequence is death for allowing a drug dealer, Faheem Jones, to stay in her apartment. Besides the nine-year prison term, Seal was placed on extended supervision for eight years.
