Organizers reflect on No Kings Rally, counter-protest

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — It was a quiet day in downtown Sioux Falls Monday, but that wasn’t the case on Saturday during the No Kings Rally.

Organizers from 50501 and Indivisible 605 were happy with the turnout and say protests like the ones on Saturday have the potential to spark real change.

Droves of people lined Phillips Avenue on Saturday for the No Kings Rally. Organizer Andrew Cedergren estimates around 3,500 people participated.

“It was amazing to see Sioux Falls show up the way they did. As the event organizers, we just wanted to make a space for the community to come that was safe and welcoming, and they showed up,” Cedergren said…
