Earlier this month, staff members at Greenbrier Elementary School were gifted a generous donation totaling $50,000 from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation and Kellanova, directed at making a positive impact on both teachers and students.
According to a news release from Robertson County Schools, the donation includes $50,000 to support student learning through the school’s literacy programs. Administrators may use the funds at their discretion to purchase books, technology programs, computers and/or other education supplies or resources.
The donation additionally consists of 600 brand new books aimed to inspire a love of reading in students, and $25 Dollar General gift cards for every teacher at GES. Each student will also receive a variety of snacks and their own literacy goody bag…
