Sentencing for driver who struck 2 Cleveland Water employees

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The driver who struck two Cleveland Water Department employees while they were repairing a water main break, will be sentenced Tuesday in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

In September, Lorenzo Martin pleaded guilty to two counts of vehicular assault and one count of failure to stop after an accident.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. on Feb. 13 at S. Miles Road and Langly Avenue in the city’s Lee Seville neighborhood.

Cleveland police said Martin, of Maple Heights, drove into a coned off work-zone, struck both men, and then fled the scene…
