A sensory-friendly event aims to ensure that everyone is included when it comes to being prepared for emergencies.
“Prepared, Not Scared” will take place at the Perry Hi-Way Hose Company, located at 8281 Oliver Road, on Oct. 23, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
“Whatever happens, I can handle it”: OCD walk takes place in Frontier Park
The event is meant for people who may have obstacles to emergency preparedness, like those with limited access to transportation and those with medical or sensory needs. Adults, children and their caregivers are welcome.
Groups will be there to interact with individuals, including the Red Cross, the Children’s Advocacy Center and the Erie County Department of Public Safety’s Community Emergency Response Team.
