Traffic stop in Fresno uncovers drugs, homemade gun

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man was arrested after a traffic stop led to officers finding drugs and a privately made firearm in Fresno, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.

CHP said that during an overnight traffic stop, officers determined that a man was under the influence of a controlled substance and was taken into custody.

A search of the car, CHP said revealed a privately made firearm, ammunition and additional drugs in the driver’s possession.
