Pensacola woman charged with DUI manslaughter after bicyclist killed in crash: FHP

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — A woman from Pensacola is charged with DUI manslaughter after a bicyclist was killed in a crash early Sunday morning. A news release from the Florida Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Hannah Williams was booked into the Escambia County Jail.

Troopers say they responded to a crash just after midnight Sunday morning on Lillian Highway and Stafford Lane where a vehicle collided with a man on a bicycle. The 51-year-old victim was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries. Troopers say the driver left the scene but a piece of car’s bumper with a VIN number was at the crash site.

Troopers say they went to Williams’ home. They say she had crashed into an electrical box and was trying to clean her vehicle when they arrived. Troopers claim Williams appeared impaired and had a blood alcohol level of .180 and was then arrested…
