PPD: On October 19, 2025 at approximately 3:28 am, dispatch received a call for an FSRA (Fail to Stop and Render Aid). The caller stated a black Tahoe hit a pedestrian on/near the sidewalk in the 3100 block of Red Bluff and fled the scene. Officers arrived on scene and located the victim, later identified as Leonardo Mendoza (H/M, 42 years of age), with serious injuries. Acadian Ambulance transported the victim to HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast where the victim succumbed to his injuries.
Detectives from the Pasadena Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit arrived on scene and began investigating the incident. Through a thorough investigation, Detectives were able to determine the victim and his wife, Alina Gonzalez-Morelos (H/F, 07/17/1988), engaged in a verbal altercation at their residence shortly before the incident.
