Batesville manufacturer among winners of Governor’s Award for Global Trade

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KAIT) – An Independence County manufacturer of vitamins and supplements was recently awarded the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Global Trade.

Lifeplus International was honored for its Exponential Growth in Manufacturing during Friday’s event in Little Rock.

According to a news release from the governor’s office, the company recently completed the first two phases of a four-phase expansion project, adding a new manufacturing facility and new office space, allowing them to hire 150 new employees in the next three years.

Lifeplus, which makes and distributes supplements, vitamins and other healthcare products, purchased a pet supplement company in Vermont and relocated it to their Batesville manufacturing campus.
