YAMHILL COUNTY, Ore. – A 66-year-old Newberg man died after being struck by a vehicle while he was in the roadway on Highway 240 in Yamhill County on Monday, October 13, 2025.
Oregon State Police (OSP) responded to the crash near milepost 10 at approximately 5:11 p.m.
The preliminary investigation indicated that a pedestrian, identified as Larry Joseph Mervin Jacobs, 66, of Newberg, was in the roadway when he was struck by a westbound Toyota Rav4. The driver of the Toyota was identified as Holly Mclain, 47, of Cornelius.…
