Albany, NY (WRGB) — It’s been more than a year, but the Albany County District Attorney’s office has just gotten back the NYS grant money returned by former D.A David Soares, after he used that money to give himself a 23-thousand dollar bonus.
It was in early 2024 that we revealed the Soares bonus money – he gave it back under pressure, and just recently NYS okayed sending the money back to the District Attorney’s office.
The new District Attorney is Lee Kindlon, he says “So that money has now been, just in the past couple of weeks, reallocated to my office to be spent, and we’re going to do with it exactly as it was intended…
