North Charleston officers honored for quick arrest in September robbery case

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Three North Charleston officers were recognized Tuesday for their quick response and arrests in connection with a September armed robbery that happened in Mount Pleasant.

Around 6 p.m. on Sept. 4, officers Schuessler, Aratan, and Clement spotted a rental vehicle allegedly connected to an armed robbery that occurred in nearby Mount Pleasant, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

Police initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle near Dorsey Avenue and Surprise Street. Both suspects were detained, and after a search, law enforcement found items believed to be stolen during the earlier robbery.Agents recovered a firearm and a large quantity of illegal drugs from the vehicle…
