Crashes, construction, and rain make messy I-90 commute

CLEVELAND (WJW) — A combination of crashes, construction, and rain caused delays along I-90 eastbound for the Tuesday morning commute.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, at about 7:30 a.m., two separate crashes were reported along the interstate ahead of a new construction zone, which, as FOX 8 previously reported, started causing delays on Monday.

The first crash blocked the right lane on I-90 East beyond Crocker Road. The second blocked the right shoulder on I-90 East at SR-254/Detroit Road. Both were cleared by 8:30 a.m.

FOX 8’s Patty Harken has warned of slowdowns in the area, near West 117th Street, where the interstate is reduced from four lanes to two, and the ramp from West 117th Street south to I-90 east has closed for about 30 days.
