WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — People living along Raye Drive say their quiet neighborhood was turned upside down Friday when Davidson County deputies swarmed the street and later discovered two bodies inside one of the homes.
Deputies say they found the bodies of June Hicks and her adult son, Eric, inside 360 Raye Drive in Winston Salem, along with 78-year-old Stephen Curtis Hicks. The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were responding to a welfare check after a family member reported concerns. That family member told investigators Stephen Hicks had sent a text message indicating he hurt his family.
