Two injured in downtown Austin fight involving machete

AUSTIN, Texas — Two people were injured following a fight involving a machete-style knife in downtown Austin on Monday night.

The Austin Police Department says officers responded to a disturbance call at 10:02 p.m. at the intersection of Cesar Chavez and Lavaca Street, where two individuals were reportedly fighting with a large machete-style knife.

Upon arrival, officers found one victim with a stab wound and provided medical care until Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services arrived…
