In Brooklyn Park’s River View neighborhood, there is one sure-fire sign that Halloween is approaching. Year after year, the Hoffarth family transforms their home on West River Road into the Psychotic Bliss Asylum — complete with more than 300 individual decorations and an array of intricate lights.
“People ask if we bring in professionals to put this up,” Cory Hoffarth said. “Nope. There’s five of us and we do it all ourselves. My wife takes off a week from work and we do it before school starts so the kids can help out.”
