LOVELAND, Colo. (KDVR) — A suspect tried to run, but police in Loveland used a high-tech tool, stopping him in seconds.
Officers say the man was wanted for breaking into vehicles and took off when they tried to arrest him. They used a tool called BolaWrap and showed how it stops suspects within seconds.

The device looks small, about the size of a smartphone, but it’s built to do big work on the streets. Instead of shocking a suspect like a stun gun, the Bolawrap shoots out tethers that wrap around a person’s arms or legs.
“The BolaWrap was presented to us a few years ago as a non-lethal option … another tool on the belt that helps officers safely apprehend someone who’s fleeing while creating minimal, if any, harm,” said Chris Padgett, Loveland police’s public information officer…
