A trio of Lake County women who were suspected of stealing fled from the Walmart in Leesburg in a bid to avoid arrest.
An officer responded to Walmart, located at 2501 Citrus Blvd., regarding three female suspects stuffing merchandise into two black bags and trying to flee the store at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13, according to a case report from the Leesburg Police Department. These women were later identified as 29-year-old Scotsha Harville-Martin of Clermont, 22-year-old Mya Steward of Clermont and 40-year-old Crystal McKnight of Tavares.
Dispatch advised that the women were stopped near the entrance of the store, but they fled the store. Harville-Martin and Steward ran on foot toward Wells Fargo while McKnight took a white Dodge Charger toward Citrus Boulevard, the report said…
