On October 20, 2025, a jury found Immanuel Gardner guilty of attempted murder and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The case is related to an incident on June 21, 2024, outside Diamond Billiards in Rancho Cordova. Gardner shot at a man in the parking lot after a confrontation. The victim did not know Gardner and suffered serious internal injuries but survived.
According to reports, Gardner got a semi-automatic firearm from his car, struck the victim, and fired three shots as the victim tried to leave. Another person then shot Gardner.
