St. Tammany Parish Coroner Dr. Christopher Tape and his staff are investigating the mysterious death of a young woman killed in an apparent hit-and-run on the Twin Spans early Tuesday.
Shortly after 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 21, Louisiana State Police responded to a report of a body in the highway on the Twin Spans at approximately mile marker 260 eastbound. LSP notified the St. Tammany Parish Coroner, and investigators recovered the body of a woman later identified as Edashia Emonni Caraway, who would have turned 27 today, of Appleton, Wisconsin.
Coroner’s Office investigators determined the young woman’s family had paid for her to travel to New Orleans for a concert to celebrate her birthday, and that she was to have flown home Tuesday morning…
