There is no hiding that money is pretty tight for all of us right now. With prices on the rise on a number of things including groceries it is always nice to get a bit of a break when it comes to some of the other basics that we need. Gas would be included in the basics and right now it looks like it’s a bit cheaper around New York.
According to GasBuddy, the average price for gas in New York is $3.09. The lowest price in the state has been reported at $2.56, which I would love to find. The Capital Region is right around the average for NYS right now
Gas stations around the Capital Region have seen a drop, the Troy Record reports. In Albany there are several gas stations being reported at below the average price, but mostly still above $3 a gallon. Schenectady appears to be very cheap right now with prices under $3 a gallon, and falling. GasBuddy has the GasWay Express Mart on Erie Blvd at $2.87 a gallon right now.
What about the rest of the Capital Region?
Clifton Park has a few on the lower side but for the most part is still seeing prices about $3.10 a gallon for many of their gas stations. That seems to be the case for Saratoga County in general, with higher gas prices than Albany and Schenectady right now…
