Two Evansville Residents Stabbed; Suspect now in Custody

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office has arrested Bryan Douglas Schini in connection with the stabbing of two Evansville residents at a southeast-side home. Schini is charged with two counts of Attempted Murder and one count of Burglary.

On October 19th, 2025, at approximately 10:08 PM, deputies were dispatched to the 1900 block of Meridian Drive in reference to a stabbing. Upon arrival, deputies located a victim suffering from a defensive knife wound to his hand. A second victim, who had reportedly been stabbed in the back, had already left the scene and was not immediately located.

Witnesses told deputies that Schini arrived at the residence around 8:00 PM. He had been told multiple times in recent weeks not to return due to increasingly erratic behavior. Schini reportedly entered the home uninvited and began acting belligerently toward the occupants. During the encounter, he stripped down to his boxer shorts and made disturbing comments about killing one of the residents.
