Garbage dumped on Fresno highway after truck fire

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Drivers commuting through Fresno on Wednesday were delayed due to a garbage truck that caught fire and dumped its load on the road.

The Fresno Fire Department says around 11 a.m., they received a call from a driver who noticed smoke coming from the trash compartment of the vehicle and dumped the load to prevent damage to the vehicle.

The California Highway Patrol reported that around 11:30 a.m., they were on the scene directing traffic from the westbound Highway 180 to the southbound Highway 41 connector…
