Hialeah Gardens Man Charged With Attempted Murder After Road Rage Shooting in Miami-Dade

A 31-year-old Hialeah Gardens man, Sabri Uriel Perez, is facing charges of attempted second-degree murder following his involvement in a road rage incident on Sept. 19 in Miami-Dade’s Fontainebleau neighborhood. The confrontation led to both Perez and the other driver being shot and hospitalized. NBC Miami reports that Perez surrendered to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies yesterday.

According to an arrest report, after both drivers stopped their vehicles, the victim approached Perez’s silver 2020 Audi Q5 and was subsequently shot in the abdomen. The report details a struggle ensued, resulting in Perez suffering a gunshot wound to the chest. This altercation took place near the Doral West Soccer Academy, where children practiced, heightening the concern for public safety. Local 10 notes that the victim attempted to take the gun away from Perez, leading to the violent scuffle.

Upon deputies’ arrival at the scene along Southwest 92 Avenue, near Fourth Street, they found bullet casings and secured a memory card from a dash camera, which did not capture the shooting itself, but showed the victim running towards Perez’s vehicle.
