NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Food pantries across Middle Tennessee are seeing a sharp rise in demand as more families struggle to put food on the table.
Janet Arning, Executive Director of Inspiritus, a local food pantry helping Tennesseans stock their shelves, says food banks are working together to meet the growing need.
“We have seen a 47% increase from April to December,” Arning said. “And so what we’ve done as an organization is try to prepare for all scenarios as this year has just been a tumultuous year.”…
