Former parolee arrested in Evergreen Street assault, shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with an investigation into an early October shooting on Evergreen Street.

27-year-old Hassann Ross has been charged after a man was found shot and suffering from injuries believed to be from an assault on Evergreen Street on October 5. According to police, the investigation determined the incident occurred during an after-hours party in the area, during which a fight began in the street and shots were fired.

After the shooting, the victim was taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition for life-threatening injuries; however, police report his injuries are now considered non-life-threatening…
