The City of Santa Barbara has completed the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Los Patos Underpass Removal Project. This follows a 45-day public comment period. The Final EIR addresses public feedback on the draft report and includes the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program.
Printed copies of the Initial Study, Draft EIR, and Final EIR are available for public review. They can be found at the Public Works Permit Counter on Garden Street and at the Santa Barbara Public Library on East Anapamu Street.
The Santa Barbara Planning Commission will review the Final EIR and consider certifying it. The commission will also consider approving the Coastal Development Permit. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. It will take place at City Hall in the Council Chambers…
