SNAP benefits pause prompts Ozarks food pantries to stock up

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Food pantries across the Ozarks are increasing their inventory to support thousands of Missourians who will be affected by the SNAP benefits pause.

Brian Paschall is part of the 10% of Missourians who rely on SNAP benefits to put food on the table. He spoke to KY3 at the beginning of the shutdown before he knew November benefits would be paused.

“I have pretty much cut back to one meal, and that’s breakfast, and at times that gets a little hard,” Paschall said…
