LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — An affordable housing community for seniors, Buffalo Cactus Senior Apartments, has officially opened in southwest Las Vegas, offering a glimmer of hope in Nevada’s severe housing deficit.
The complex, developed by Nevada HAND, the state’s largest affordable housing developer and manager, provides 125 units starting at approximately $1,100 a month, below the average rental cost in Las Vegas.
Clark County Commissioner Justin Jones highlighted the importance of the development, stating, “It is a home for seniors, your mom, dad, aunt, and uncle, so you can visit them and have that experience with them in a beautiful property and community.”…
