Freya Street road construction delays push detours into November

SPOKANE, Wash. — A road construction project on Spokane’s South Hill continues months after its scheduled completion, forcing drivers to find alternate routes.

Crews have torn up Freya Street from 13th Avenue to 21st Avenue. The project was supposed to be completed in August.

City officials said crews found underground challenges that changed their work plans. The city now expects the work to wrap up by early next month…
