ECLECTIC, Ala. (WSFA) – A man is in custody and another is in critical condition following an altercation that occurred on Friday, Oct. 17, according to the Eclectic Police Department.
Ryane Schlifer is charged with attempted murder.
EPD responded to the 200 block of Culpepper Road on reports of an altercation at a home. Officers say that a friendly conversation between Schlifer and the victim became serious. Police say that alcohol was involved.
Police say that the victim then picked up a hammer. Schlifer took the hammer from the victim and struck the victim in the head, chest, and arm multiple times. The victim was later airlifted to Baptist South and remains in critical condition…
