Just after midnight, officers from the North Arlington Police Department responded to a report of an attempted burglary in the Third Street area, Lt. David Hudak said.
The residents told police they heard movement outside and, when they opened the curtains to check, saw two males wearing black hooded sweatshirts, dark pants, and face coverings trying to open a window, Hudak said.
