Bear Warriors files injunction in attempt to stop planned bear hunt, hearing in November

Bear Warriors United has asked a court for an emergency injunction to stop the state’s planned black bear hunt in December, while a group supporting the hunt has joined the legal battle.

But in the motion filed Oct. 21, Bear Warriors United argued that if the hunt takes place, 172 bears will be killed even though the nonprofit may ultimately win the legal battle.
