Madison man arrested after fleeing traffic stop, drugs found in vehicle

MADISON, Wis. — A 40-year-old man was arrested early Thursday after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop and attempting to escape on foot, according to the Madison Police Department.

An MPD officer stopped a vehicle around 1:25 a.m after seeing it speeding near the area of Delaware Blvd and Texas Trail, police said.

Additional officers and a sergeant responded to the scene due to the driver’s “behavior.” Police said the driver refused orders to exit the vehicle, so officers placed tire deflation devices around the car to prevent him from driving away…
