LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — City workers in Little Rock are pushing for transparency over their pay. Channel 7 first reported this story two weeks ago, when employees filled the board room over a city compensation study that showed they are among the lowest paid in the state.
Little Rock public works employees say nothing was done after their first push for better pay, so they returned to city leaders demanding that the compensation study be released to the public and that they receive fair wages. The city sent us the study, and we went to Tuesday’s meeting to ask why hasn’t it been acted on since it was completed two years ago.
“If you know we’re underpaid, why are you not doing anything about it? Why are you not going to stand with us like we stand with this city everyday and every night?” said Andrew Brewer, a Little Rock public works employee…
