Man gets 8 years in prison for role in drive-by shooting in Albany

ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – A man has been sentenced to 8 years in prison for his role in a drive-by shooting that injured a woman last year.

Dayshon Miller, 35, was a passenger in a car driven by Nashala Turner in the area of First Street and Lexington Avenue on Sept. 5, 2024. An occupant of the vehicle fired at a man on the Street. That man, later identified as Michael Broadie, fired back. A female bystander was hit in the crossfire and survived, according to the Albany County District Attorney’s Office.

Police searched Turner and Miller’s Washington Avenue apartment on Oct. 30, 2024 and found a loaded 9mm gun with Miller’s DNA on it, prosecutors said…
