Albany, NY (WRGB) — A 16-year-old from Albany has been formally charged with murder following a shooting that resulted in the death of a 15-year-old boy.
Albany County District Attorney Lee C. Kindlon announced the unsealing of a four-count grand jury indictment against the teen, who is not named due to his age. The charges include murder in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and two counts of tampering with physical evidence.
The incident occurred on June 23, shortly after 11 PM, when Albany police responded to reports of a shooting on the 500 block of Clinton Ave. near North Lake Ave. Officers found the 15-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to his back.
