Detectives seize narcotics, including fentanyl, and multiple guns in drug bust

Detectives with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division have arrested David Bradley, 46, of Geismar. He is charged with the following:

  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
  • Illegal Carrying of Weapons
  • Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon
  • Illegal Use of CDS in the Presence of Children Under 17
  • Child Passenger Restraint Violation

On Tuesday, October 21, narcotics detectives conducted surveillance at a residence in Geismar related to illegal drug activity. Deputies initiated a traffic stop after Bradley was seen leaving the residence. During the stop, Bradley admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. A search revealed that Bradley had a large quantity of heroin and an undisclosed amount of money in his possession. He was arrested and transported to the Ascension Parish Jail.

A search of the vehicle uncovered additional quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, marijuana, and a handgun. A minor child who was present with Bradley was safely released to a family member…
