Bond lowered for El Paso suspect in deadly chokehold

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The man who was arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide after he had a physical confrontation with his mother’s ex-boyfriend had his bond amount lowered on Thursday, Oct. 23.

Jeremiah Nathanial Aguilar, 23, who has been jailed for 14 days as of Thursday, had his bond initially set at $100,000.

During his bond hearing, Defense Attorney Brian Livingston requested Judge Antonio Aun to grant a personal recognizance bond, arguing that Aguilar’s mother is struggling financially.
