MONONA, Wis. — A vehicle was struck by a bullet as it traveled onto westbound Broadway Wednesday night, as well as an apartment unit, in what the Monona Police Department describes as “does not appear to be a random act.”
Police responded to the 2200 block of West Broadway to assist with a reported shooting just before 9 p.m. Upon arrival, officers determined that an “uninvolved” vehicle was struck by a bullet, impacting the driver’s side door. The driver, who was the vehicle’s sole occupant, was unharmed.
Officials indicated that evidence recovered at the scene suggested the shooting originated from one or more vehicles traveling eastbound on Broadway. Since the incident occurred within Monona city limits, the Monona Police Department was declared as the lead investigating agency…
