Sparks police unveils camera registration program

SPARKS, Nev. (KOLO) – The Sparks Police Department is unveiling a new camera registration program that allows coordination between the department, local businesses and residents.

The Community Connect Program for Axon Fusus allows residents to register their at home camera system with the department free of cost.

The department says they will not have access to live real time feeds, but the cameras will be used to assist in criminal investigations in neighborhoods. Registering will allow officers to know the location of possible video surveillance to investigate crimes…
