Wade Fulmer Jr. is running for mayor of Columbia.
“I believe the city system requires due response and transparent policy, not a culture of rhetoric, silence, or distraction,” Fulmer said. “It doesn’t need a lack of discernment, misleading delays, sweep around, or making excuses for inaction. There must be a response and a reply to the residents for health and order for every community. The system must do its duty for constituents’ concerns, for violated victims and neighborhoods. It’s the city’s duty to provide answers, correct any system of preference for favored special interests, or of any wrongful privilege.
“A mayor, council, or any special interest advisors shall not obstruct or forget the duties of the city and any community. A mayor must have transparence and a duty to provide answers to residents’ questions. I want to be the kind of mayor that has that transparency and accountability.”…
