The Michigan Education Association (MEA) has recognized Eva Menefee, a longtime academic advisor at Lansing Community College (LCC), with the Jim Davenport Award for her contributions to higher education at both the state and national levels.
Menefee, who has worked at LCC for 31 years, was acknowledged for her extensive service in various union roles and her commitment to supporting students and colleagues in the higher education community.
The award was presented at the recent MEA Higher Education Conference by Alec Thomson, president of the National Council of Higher Education.
