LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — The Providence police department has launched an internal investigation after one of its off-duty officers was involved in an “incident” at Bally’s Twin River Casino, Target 12 has learned.
Lincoln Police spokesperson Capt. Kyle Wingate told Target 12 that police responded to the casino on Sunday for an incident involving Gary Slater, a Providence police officer and brother of State Rep. Scott Slater.
Wingate said authorities in Lincoln notified Providence police about the incident, but said no arrests were made. No further details about the incident were immediately available…
