U.S. Marshals arrest man, 30, wanted in Riviera Beach homicide case

RIVIERA BEACH — A man wanted in connection to an August homicide in Riviera Beach was arrested Oct. 22 in central Florida, police said.

Alphonso Andrew Lingo, Jr., 30, was caught in the Seminole County city of Sanford by deputies from the U.S. Marshals Service. He was wanted in connection to the Aug. 21 shooting death of Lorenzo Pugh. Pugh, 61, was found dead in a residence on the 1000 block of West 26th Court after police responded to a 911 call.

“The tenacious work by our detectives and support from the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force culminated with the arrest of a violent convicted felon, who is now off the streets and can be brought to justice,” Riviera Beach Police Chief Michael Coleman said in prepared remarks…
