Virginia Beach Jury Convicts Man for Attempted Murder of Police Officer at Pembroke Mall

On October 23, 2025, a Virginia Beach jury found Tyler Lynn Davis, 26, guilty of Attempted Aggravated Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer, Use of a Firearm, Grand Larceny, and Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny. The trial lasted three days and was overseen by Circuit Court Judge Tanya Felton. Sentencing is set for February 12, 2026.

The incident happened on October 20, 2023, at Kohl’s in Pembroke Mall, Virginia Beach. Davis, along with Jaclyn Anderson, Hayley Fernandes, and Brandon Foster, tried to steal merchandise worth several hundred dollars. Foster waited in a van outside while Davis and the two women filled shopping carts. Store security noticed their actions and contacted police.
