Corpus Christi Weather Alert: Strong Storms and Heavy Rain Through Saturday

Corpus Christi, TX – The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi is warning residents to prepare for rounds of showers and thunderstorms through Saturday night, with the strongest storms expected across the Victoria Crossroads region.

According to the NWS, a cold front will stall across South Texas, increasing rain chances and instability. Forecasters say there is a Slight Risk (Level 2 of 5) for severe storms in the Victoria and Port Lavaca areas and a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) elsewhere. The primary threat will be damaging winds, with only a low chance of hail or isolated tornadoes.
