The church is hosting its 4th annual “Not Your Mummy’s Halloween” featuring new pop music, Halloween favorites, and popular Halloween movie soundtracks.

The concert has been growing in recent years, reaching the church’s nearly 500-seat capacity. Attendees will also hear music performed by the youth choir and using the historic pipe organ that is a staple in the church.
“Plymouth’s pipe organ is 64 years old,” said Christopher Goodson, Director of Music and Arts at the Plymouth Church. “It was installed in 1961 by Casavant Brothers, a company out of Canada. It is the largest pipe organ in the state of Iowa, and so it produces a lot of sound. It’s like having an orchestra in a box, except it’s in a chamber. We have pipes both in the front of the sanctuary and the back, so you get kind of a surround sound and get to enjoy all the colors of the orchestra.”…
