ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Every five years, the Mid-Region Council of Governments in New Mexico updates a strategy that can bring jobs and economic growth to the state.
That strategy is called the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy. CEDS allows communities in the central region – like Albuquerque, Rio Rancho and Los Lunas – to apply for economic development money for companies.
The Rail Yards, Sandia Science and Tech Park, Amazon Fulfillment Center have all received money from the Economic Development Administration. That money created jobs and came as a result of the strategy, according to MRCOG…
